As the HR Director of Strategic People Operations, I'm proud to share that Bay Cities follows the tradition of selecting a theme that encapsulates our strategic company objectives each fiscal year. In the dynamic landscape of business, setting the right tone and direction for the year is crucial. Bay Cities, a company on a remarkable growth trajectory, has embraced this concept wholeheartedly by choosing a theme that resonates with our journey – "DRIVE!" This theme encapsulates the essence of our ambitious goals, the challenges we've overcome, and the collective determination to forge ahead, no matter the obstacles.
The anticipation was building for the unveiling of Bay Cities' Corporatewide strategic goals. In the lead-up to July 21, 2023, our Human Resources team was faced with quite a challenge as the weather brought some of the hottest temperatures to our headquarters in Pico Rivera, and a downpour of rain to our Bentonville location. Despite weather conditions, Bay Cities demonstrated its knack for hosting fantastic events. The Bentonville team moved their event indoors and celebrated with a lunch from Steak N Taters! At the Pico Rivera location, our team had orchestrated the placement of cooling fans and a large party tent to beat the heat. With agua frescas in hand, we delved into discussions about the State of the Bay – reflecting on our past, present, and the exciting trajectory ahead that can only be described as a rocket ship journey! Just as our COO reached the pinnacle of his speech, The Habit food truck arrived!
