How to Win at Winning@Retail

One of the key elements for creating and executing an event like Winning Retail is picking a spot that is both intimate and relaxing. While one would think finding the right venue is an easy task, it can be daunting. We are blessed to be in the Los Angeles area, as we have a leg up to most conferences due to our close proximity to Los Angeles International Airport, which allows our guests to travel directly here. Since our unique audience comes from all over the country, easy access is important.

An important feature of Winning@Retail is that our venue is only 20 minutes from the airport. Once our guests arrive, we want them to feel relaxed and have a bit of time to get acclimated to the environment.  

Speaking of the environment... It’s a requirement that Bay Cities hosts our special event near the water, as “Bay” is in our name after all. There is nothing finer than enjoying a nice breeze and feeling that calming effect of water.   

In addition to the theme of water, one of Bay Cities’ icons is the palm tree. Wherever you find Bay Cities, you will find the palm tree.

Another aspect of our carefully curated environment is the presentation room. We want this space to be expansive enough to allow our guests room to spread out and dial into the world-class speakers and panels Winning@Retail has to offer. 

The breaks are designed for our guests to catch a breath from the brilliance of our handpicked experts and engage with them one on one. 

Keeping the event small is also very important. We want to foster collaboration amongst the attendees and speakers. Furthermore, as the subject matter is extremely thought-provoking, attendees should be able to continue to interact with it. 

Comfortable accommodations are also key, as it’s crucial that our guests are able to decompress after such a fast-paced day and in advance of the next day’s tour of Bay Cities.
