Manufacturing a Greener Future: Bay Cities Leads the Charge this Earth Month

Throughout Earth Month, Bay Cities showcased our dedication to sustainability by highlighting initiatives that set us apart as leaders in the area of environmental stewardship.

With a company so deeply rooted in sustainability, it's easy to lose track of all the ways Bay Cities is making a difference. From certifications by the Sustainable Forestry Initiative and the Forest Stewardship Council to utilizing packaging composed of over 90% post-consumer material, our commitment to environmentally responsible practices is evident in every facet of our operation.

One such initiative is our participation in the Paper and Packaging Board's Box to Nature program, demonstrating a commitment to environmental stewardship that extends beyond our own business practices.

In addition to the products we manufacture, we also practice responsible recycling efforts. We highlighted our impressive 2023 Environmental Footprint, a testament to our proactive approach to minimizing our impact on the planet.

Recently, we had the honor of being featured on Viewpoint with Dennis Quaid, a nationally televised program that provided viewers with an exclusive look into our sustainable operation. This behind-the-scenes glimpse underscored why every day is truly Earth Day at Bay Cities, showcasing our holistic approach to sustainability.

Wanting to specifically take care of the neighborhoods in which Bay Cities is based, we joined local Earth Month initiatives.

Employees of Bay Cities’ Bentonville office participated in Keep Arkansas Beautiful’s Great Arkansas Cleanup’s citywide “Clean the Streets Day” where they removed trash and discarded debris from Arkansas’s roadways, shorelines, parks, and other public areas.

Los Angeles Bay Cities employees took part in Heal the Bay’s Earth Month “Nothin’ But Sand” Beach Cleanup where they helped rid Santa Monica Beach of harmful plastic pollution before it washes out to Santa Monica Bay.

Furthermore, Bay Cities has taken the step to enlist in Heal the Bay’s Adopt-A-Beach program and, in doing so, has committed to leading three outdoor (neighborhood, beach, park, creek, or trail) cleanups in Los Angeles per year.
